The Caspian Region’s vast hydrocarbon resources are among the largest in the world and the development of its oil and gas industry has an enormous effect on the regional and global geopolitical situation. The region plays a crucial role as hydrocarbons supplier to the world energy markets.
The Caspian is a strategic transport hub connecting all major Eurasian regions and its significance is underpinned by its position between the crude and products producers in the Middle East, North Africa and Russia, and major consumers in Europe and Asia. The combination of the region’s strategic location and other factors determines its importance for the global energy sector, not least in the energy security matters.
The annual Caspian Oil and Gas Trading and Transportation Conference is a unique platform for the oil and gas industry executives to share their views on the latest industry developments. It promotes interregional cooperation and serves as a valuable and reliable source of information in the region. This event will bring together over 150 industry professionals from the Caspian Region itself – Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran – as well as from their long standing partners, such as Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, and other European, North American and Asia Pacific countries.
The conference aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the developing economic trends and the geopolitical processes in the Caspian Region. Leading energy experts will assess the short- and mid-term outlook for the Caspian hydrocarbons and their influence in the global energy markets. Other topics for discussion will include the development of transport infrastructure, the regional cooperation, crude, gas and oil products trading, logistics solutions, analysis of existing and prospective oil and gas projects and other aspects of the region’s energy sector.
